Why Change?

the_moon_goddess_by_ldragomir593-d683kimThe Life that lies deep within us awaits its full expression outside of us…

Have you ever wondered why the very idea of change causes feelings of apprehension, hesitation, resistance, and even fear? Have you ever felt any of these emotions?

Most of us have, especially when it comes to changing even a little something in our daily routine. We have grown accustomed to and are comfortable with how things are in this moment, right? So, why upset the apple cart so to speak? Believe it or not, change is happening within each and every moment whether we are aware of it or not. Simply reading this article is changing something within you, just as my writing is changing something within me. Our brains are pulsating with every thought or idea that is moving through us right now. Our minds are trying to process those same thoughts into some sort of semblance.  Perhaps to connect them with what we already believe to be the truth of who we are from the perspective of our intellect. And then we have our hearts trying to discern whether or not these ideas resonate with us on an emotional or feeling level. All of which are the beginnings of possible change within us all…that is, if we so choose to allow ourselves to follow its call.

Many of us continue to challenge the very idea of change which may have been influenced by our own thoughts, the thoughts of others, and the thought we hear through the pulse of the collective consciousness. So, we may need to consider paying closer attention to what we allow into our heart and minds to be certain that they are in alignment with our own way being. Please keep in mind that embracing the thoughts we hearbutterfly-in-nature-iphone-wallpaper_07a39cc7e11ff58dbdcdb140860a1965_raw.jpg is a very subtle thing. We may not even know when it is happening, or that it happens at all. That is why we are encouraged to become more aware and in tune with our own authenticity.

Whether or not we need to change something in our lives depends of course on the individual. There may be times when we may feel something stirring within us without really understanding what is happening. This “stirring” is in reality something moving within our soul to change something within us to allow more of our true self to come forward into the light. Let us explore the notion that every thought we have is an intention. Every thought begins either in our mind or our heart and is highly creative depending on the level of energy behind it. Therefore, every thought we entertain in our mind whether they be on a conscious or subconscious level is creating some form of change within us, again because every thought is an intention. This happens naturally because of the spiritual laws and principles through which we are governed, i.e. the Law of Attraction, the Law of Gravity, and so on.

There may be times when we set a subconscious intention where we find ourselves in the throes of circumstances that we may not understand at first glance. For instance, many years ago I became very disenchanted with how my life was going to say the least, and simply wanted some peace in my life. While I was not really aware of setting intentions at the time, I remember appealing to God shouting, “I just want some peace in my life!” in sheer desperation. What ensued was anything but peaceful.  I was strongly urged to make some major life decisions after that outburst which included breaking up a long-standing romantic relationship, resigning from my career that I had cultivated for many years, and dealing with some very painful family issues. Fortunately for me, I felt something very powerful within me that knew these changes were necessary in order for me to experience the peace I longed for…although didn’t realize that in the first moments of crying my eyes out. This was an “aha” moment in which I came to the realization that how could I experience peace, when all of these things I was carrying around with me were continually creating unhappiness and discord in my life…the exact opposite of what living a life of peace could be? Would you agree that my desperation was indeed an intention in which great change was the only way for me to move forward? Was change necessary in this case?

nW0g7tiThis is one of the subtle yet powerful ways in which significant change occurs. We may not always accept it as such, especially when there is great pain involved. The key is to remember that whenever we are feeling something that is not in keeping with our level of comfort, that some form of change is taking shape within us. And when we allow ourselves to trust in the natural processes of life, we will find ourselves going with the flow more easily and open to healing whatever needs to be healed. By the way, healing is in fact one of the greatest changes we can experience, on both a physical and emotional level. Are you considering whether or not change is necessary in your own life?

So, what is the process of how our “intentional” intentions come to fruition? Since we continue to learn and grow along our journey of life, most of us will continually want to bring in new and fresh ideas to enhance our life’s experiences. These of course will change the very course of our actions and the direction in which we will continue to grow. We will first feel the need or desire to change something moving within us, even when we do not recognize it as such. And when we are truly ready to move forward, this change will manifest itself outside of us in life altering ways. We have to keep in mind that we will only demonstrate or manifest our intentions to the degree of the energy or passion behind them. And in order for them to come to light in the manner of our greatest potential, we must also be clear in our thinking without outlining every detail. Outlining the outcome only limits our potential, and may keep us stuck in “what has always been”. We are encouraged to trust in the natural process of life and open ourselves up to the outpouring of all that is possible through the incredible power that lies within us.

Sometimes our physical circumstances necessitate our need to make changes in our lives. We could be undergoing great changes with regard to our job or career situations, physically moving to another home or state, changes within the family dynamics, and other life-altering morning-light-fantasy-vladimir-kholostykhcircumstances. How do we handle those kinds of changes? Each one of us handles change from our own perspective based on what we may have experienced before or what we believe could happen within the change itself. This is what is known as resistance or fear of the unknown.  We are always at choice as to whether or not change is necessary in our own lives. Perhaps we are perfectly happy with the way things are. And even when we feel an inner urge or something changing within us, we may still not want to make any changes.  At least not now.  There is no right or wrong here, it is simply a matter of choice.

Many times changing anything in life may mean a temporary shift toward one end of the spectrum to the other, or seemingly in an unbalanced state. While this may occur, the natural process of life will work through this imbalance bringing everything back to center.  We are simply encouraged to trust it.

Creating change can be a positive and empowering experience when we look at them from the perspective of our spiritual growth and personal evolution without judgment or compromising our authenticity. Creating change is about remembering who we are from our Soul level which means beings present in our natural state of being in physical form.

So, the question remains, Is change really necessary? Or could the real question be, Are you open to change?

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you.  Namaste’

Self-Reliance – The Nature of Being

work_7347691_5_flat,300x300,075,tLiving authentically through our physical nature guided by our spiritual essence can lead us into great change and transformation, and back into the enlightened Beings that we truly are…

In our utmost Authenticity we are Pure Consciousness and are the very essence of Love, Light, Joy, and Divine Inspiration.  We are Pure Spirit.  We are Mind in action.  We are a Soul, the Witness, the Observer, the Seer, and all else that identify the I AM…ness of all that exists within us, through us, around us, and as us.  We are Spiritual Beings having a Human Experience.  We have chosen to be here…NOW.

AND SO, HERE WE ARE.  In our physical bodies.   In this moment.  Living in the Now.  How do we incorporate all that we are in our spiritual essence into our human experience?  Is there an authenticity about our human nature as well?  And, what does Self-Reliance have to do with Authenticity?

Being self-reliant is at the very heart of who we are in our authenticity because it emanates from our spiritual essence.  It is that genius within us all.  It is our divinity.  It is the very knowing that whatever we need resides within us as the absolute power to direct our lives with a deeper sense of our aliveness.  We are simply encouraged to become aware of this power and embody it fully into our humanness for the greater enjoyment of our physical journey.  Let us remember that while we may understand who we are in our higher level of consciousness, we are also encouraged to find the balance between our spiritual beingness and keeping it “real” in our physical existence.  We are encouraged to honor our bodies and how it serves us through every facet of our experiences, for we are pure consciousness in physical motion.  We are the very essence of how life expresses through and as us.  We are the magnificent out-picturing of Love.  We are in spiritual partnership with Life.

thCAZYUPP0For many of us, our physical journey thus far has taken us into places that have kept us from knowing our utmost divinity.  How did this happen?  Before we move into a place of judgment, let us remember that we were all born into and influenced by the traditions of our family environment, immediate surroundings, as well as the collective consciousness…all of which continues to be a factor unless we choose otherwise.  We have also been conditioned by and through all that we have personally experienced.  All of these things and more have created our beliefs and belief systems.  And all of these things have made a significant difference in our internal makeup…some of which have caused us to move from our inherent love to the learned fear that blocks our divine light and natural radiance.  The wisdom we can glean from this  is that we also have the innate power to change anything we choose to change through the unstoppable power of our self-reliant nature.

When we have the desire to create change in our lives, taking full responsibility for how we go about it may not always be an easy choice.  When we do choose to follow our own way of being, we may need to find the courage to step out of our comfort zone and into the unknown with a deeper sense of our divine nature.  We may need to begin by being totally honest with ourselves.   And when we are ready, we may need to be open and honest with others as well.  While it is easy to accept the wonderful things we experience to be harmonious and in divine order, we may also need to accept every mistake, every challenge, and every difficult situation within the same frame of mind.  We may need to release those things that no longer serve us, which includes the people who no longer lift our grace and make us feel good about ourselves.  We may need to be open to the people who truly resonate with us, and with whom we can create meaningful relationships.  We may need to become aware and embrace our own projections.  We may need to learn to love ourselves unconditionally. We may need to be open and receptive to change.

stone-buddha-head-nestled-in-the-tree-roots-ayutthaya-thailand+1152_12971659706-tpfil02aw-23770How can we fully accept everything that happens to us as being in divine order?  And how do we find harmony when we feel challenged?

Many of us believe that harmony and divine order means that everything is in beautiful and perfect order.  This is true.  And in the greater meaning within the scope of this writing is that everything that unfolds in our lives are in absolute agreement with our thoughts, our feelings, and our beliefs…whether we are consciously aware of them or not.

By definition, harmony is a friendly agreement.  It also refers to synchronization or an organization (of something).  The word order in this context is defined as an arrangement or sequence (of things).  And of course divine means having a godlike nature; God; connected with, coming from, or caused by God or god or goddess. Are we beginning to see how Harmony and Divine Order are integral aspects of the way we bring to light all that we have thought into being?

So, when we are open to observing our lives from this perspective, we will see clearly that everything we are experiencing right now is the out-picturing of our inner life.  Our thoughts, feeling, emotions, our experiences, and everything in-between have created a harmonious arrangement in which the Universal Energies has responded in kind with a resounding “YES”.  We are the gods and goddesses of our own creation and are therefore, the very power behind the things that manifest in our lives and into divine order.  Please keep in mind that most of what we create is done on a subconscious level and not to be thought of harshly nor  judged.  We are only encouraged to increase the awareness of our thoughts and beliefs so that we can live more in alignment with our true self and experience life on our own terms.

We will continue to blossom and grow through this evolutionary process of our lives throughout our physical, mental and emotional experiences.  And we will continue to be guided through every interaction with the people, places and things that come our way each and every day.  While we may not enjoy every moment of what we see unfolding before us, we must begin to understand that everything we experience happens for a reason and is designed to ultimately move us into greater evolutionary states of our eternal being.  We are simply invited to accept everything as a means to guide us back into our divinity.

women green eyes fantasy art glow butterflies 1600x1200 wallpaper_www.wall321.com_16To gain a greater perspective of how our own lives unfold, we may want to observe life out in nature which has its own authentic expressions of its evolutionary processes.  We will notice how life expresses its beautiful resilience through trees, animals, birds, insects and every other living thing…all of which carry within their own kind a natural sense being, i.e. the caterpillar transforming into a beautiful butterfly.  It is through these simple observations that we will come to know who we are and how we move through our own transformations and growth by every experience that moves through us.  We will see harmony and divine order taking place at every turn, through all the breathtaking beauty we see before us, and even through the things that may not be as pleasant to watch.  This is simply the very “nature” of nature itself.  This is who we are. And this is how we allow life to move naturally through us.

And likened to the many different expressions of life in nature, it is also important to remember that while we are all divine and have many fundamental similarities, we are also unique in our individuality.  And it is from this premise that we are encouraged to design our lives in accordance with our own truth and sensibilities, for therein lies the very heart of our soulful interconnectedness.

Remember, it is within our self-reliant authentic nature that we have within us all the wisdom and every means to create our human lives into the full radiance of the light, love, joy, and divine inspiration that we already are in our spiritual essence.  And when we bring our spiritual essence in balance with our physical nature, our lives will change from the ordinary to the extraordinary.  We will experience more love, more joy, more peace, and a beautiful way of living that allows who we are in our physicality to flourish magnificently within the kind of life that continues to perpetuate the absolute truth of the divine nature of our eternal being.

So, let us learn to live more from our self-reliant nature and allow it to guide us back into our natural state of Love, Light, Joy, and Inspiration…and the I AM within us all.

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you.  Namaste’.

The Power of Suggestion

Power-of-GratitudeWhat we sense around us consciously or subconsciously can influence the way we think, the way we see things, what we hear, how we feel, and ultimately what we believe…

The Power of Suggestion presents itself in very subtle ways.  There is no right or wrong to it.  It is simply a natural and gentle force from which we have all created our livelihoods.  We are merely invited to become aware of how this phenomenon works in our daily lives and how we can tap into its powerful energy.

WE ARE SURROUNDED BY THE KIND OF SUGGESTIONS that have the potential of finding their way into own thinking patterns and belief systems.  For instance, we have been given suggestions as to what is the best for us, what is appropriate behavior in various social settings, how to live a healthy and happy life, how to dress for success, how to create balance in our lives, and so many other well-meaning intentions.

And how about what we see on television given the advertisers aim for us to purchase products that will save us time, give us more energy, look and feel better, look younger, how to lose weight, how to gain weight, and other subtle yet powerful suggestions.  Mind you, all of these things are designed to give us the information we may need in order to give us a greater sense of our well-being.  No harm in that, right?

We have also been raised in cultures where things are simply accepted as a way of life.  There are many traditions that are commonplace in our environment and have been for many centuries.  We were born into them.  And we have lived by these traditions without any reason to doubt their pull on our own integrity.  And for the most part, we have been comfortable with the way things have always been.  And why wouldn’t we be?  They have served us well.

Let us keep in mind that much of what we may have embraced into our own mindset was done on a subliminal and subconscious level.  Perhaps we are recognizing that now…in this moment.  And again, we were born into a set of traditions that were already in place when we were born, which means that we are a natural part of how we all relate to each other given our human heritage.  In fact, we are encouraged to accept and honor everything we have believed and experienced thus far, with the understanding that all of it is and has been a significant part of our spiritual journey. When we can do this, we will have recognized our divinity and our evolutionary process.  We are simply invited to be open to learning more.  Remember, we learn as we go…there is no other way.

And because we are constantly learning as we go, we know that change is imminent, do we not?  We see it clearly throughout the changing seasons in Mother Nature.  Leaves fall away from trees in Autumn, snow covers the ground in the Winter, new growth appears in the Spring, and temperatures rise in the Summer.  The process of life is no different for us as we are part of nature in human form.  For one thing, we notice that our bodies change as we mature from infancy to adulthood, right?   The fact is that something is always changing within and outside of us whether we are conscious of it or not.  We may feel something stirring within us right now.

At this point, I am guided to share with you something a college professor said to the class in a business course I took years ago.  He said, “Don’t believe everything you hear.”  I remember him uttering these words in the form of a challenge.   This was a really powerful suggestion, one that I have given serious thought.   While I believed at the time that he meant it in the context of not believing everything people say, I have come to understand it on a deeper level today…especially from the standpoint of energy.

Most of us understand that everything exists as energy.  This includes the spoken word and all thought which have varying levels of vibration.  We receive thoughts from every conceivable source which includes our intellectual mind, our Soul, our intuition, our spiritual guides, and perhaps other spiritual forces. We also pick them up subconsciously from people through frequencies that we cannot see nor hear.  The same is true of what we may feel on an emotional level.  For instance, have you ever found yourself feeling great joy when in the company of happy people? Have you ever felt sad and not known why?  For the most part, these things may have a direct link to the subtle energy that always surrounds us from what is being said or from the silence of thought.   Some of us are more sensitive to this than others.  Knowing this, we may want to consider this element of nature when choosing our entertainment or anything else for that matter, because energy in itself is a gentle form of suggestion that carries within it powerful frequencies that can change the very nature of any moment or situation in one way or another.

We are also given a lot of information designed to encourage us all in our mutual desire to move more gracefully forward along our path…what is being shared here is no exception.  With this in mind, when it comes to listening to all this information and the suggestions thereof, we are encouraged to accept only that which resonates truly within us.   We are also invited to create suggestions from our own convictions through our self-talk and mindful thinking.  This writer is suggesting that when we learn to listen more intently to what we hear, see, and feel, as well as paying closer attention to what we may be thinking, we will become more self-reliant.   So, what more can we do to become self-reliant?

Let us begin to honor and love who we are at the core of our being, which means embracing all that we are and all that we are not with no judgment.  Remember, we are learning as we go.  In this endeavor, we are encouraged to become more aware of all our innate senses.  For instance, when we hear or see something that gets our attention, we may want to check in with our internal wisdom to see if it has meaning for us and truly resonates with our own sensibilities.  We are encouraged to do this not only from the standpoint of our physical senses, but from our spiritual sense as well…our intuition…our higher self.  This means listening carefully to whatever information we may be receiving from that sacred place within us that truly knows …that voice beyond reason.   We may also want to pay closer attention to where we feel the suggestion within our bodies.  We really do know what rings true for us.

Paying closer attention to our thoughts and feelings is a powerful suggestion in and of itself because we are being asked to trust in our own ability to make choices and decisions that best serve our spiritual growth.  Learning to become more aware of the origin of our thoughts and feelings and determining whether or not they belong to us can be challenging at first.  However, nurturing ourselves in this manner can only raise the level of our confidence and our creative power.  How so?  When we let go of the thoughts or suggestions that no longer serve us and that may have blocked our creative energy, we will have remembered who we are in our divine aliveness.  We are then free to create new experiences from a renewed sense of that aliveness.  By the way, we are encouraged to release in love and gratitude all the things that we have outgrown for they have taught us what we needed to learn, and are the very basis for our being guided forward along our journey.

It takes a lot of courage to follow our own convictions.  When we do, we will be living within the spiritual gift of our own incredible power.  This is the Soul’s Journey.  And within this realization, we will know that we are all here to share our divine gifts and evolve into something more…as individuals and in our Oneness.  So, let us be open-hearted, open-minded, and honor the well-meaning suggestions of others with the loving intention to only accept those things that truly resonate with our own integrity.  Let us share our own heartfelt suggestions and divine gifts with others in the same light.  And let us live from a deeper place of love for ourselves and others knowing that all of these heartfelt and powerful suggestions will find their way naturally into our greater consciousness.  This is how we are always beautifully supported by a most loving Universe…from which our gratitude emanates.

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you.  Namaste’.
